Basically all family friendly art is welcome in a variety of categories including – collage, painting, drawing, photography and book art.

And if you’re really creative they are also looking for artistic interpretations using their puzzle peice symbol in the form of a wearable pin.  This is a great idea for a group minstry.

Creating Hope

Hope Kits are convinient, portable, art supply kits given free of charge to cancer patients during treatment and healing.  The kits contain all the materials needed to give patients the opportunity to start the creative process, including self-teaching guides. They include watercolor paints, brush, palettes, pencils, pad and tote. This is a great way for your visual arts ministry to reach out to others.

“Young artists do not often fit in well with church sponsored youth programs that emphasize physical recreation. To close the gap, Masterpiece Ministries was founded in 1995 to help young people identify and develop their gifts in the arts and to encourage them to become whole hearted followers of Jesus Christ”. This is the mission and vision of this wonderful visual arts ministry.

Masterpiece Ministries

Basically if you are a visual artist and would like to develop or host a program for young talented artists at your church you can contact them on ideas to get started.

They also need creative visual artists (drawing, painting, sculpture etc) with a strong commitment to Christ to teach young people about Christ and the arts. If you have a heart for sharing Christ and art with youth, this is a good program to get involved in!

The Lilly Oncology on Canvas exhibition and charitable competition gives visual artists who are: diagnosed with cancer, surviors, friends, family members and health care professionals the opportunity to express on canvas one of life’s most profound journeys. Developed by the Eli LIlly Company the competition is a way to honor those who have embarked upon this journey and the prizes awarded are in the form of donations to the winners’ cancer charities of choice.

This is biennial exhibition and entries tour the country throughout each year inspiring people nationwide!

Basically artists or groups would design cards in any medium and add encouraging notes for the soldiers or their families. If you have a heart for our brave men and women, this is a great outreach!

Kinship

According to Founder Mary Ann Rosser, Kinship Ministries’  goal is to “win as many people as we can for Christ… and to give artists a venue to display, share, and use their skills, talents and gifts to reach people by building relationships within their particular area of expertise.”

Basically they’re looking for talented visual artists (that’s you) who’d like to donate beautiful artwork with a drug/alcohol prevention message that will positively impact youth (and others) as part of their Faith Community Health Ministries outreach and future programs. If you’re into art trading cards this is perfect!

They’re also looking for visual artists willing to volunteer time to enrich lives through art exhibitions, demonstrations and classes.  Contact them to get started!
