Add Bible Scripture to your artwork. That is the main message of Worldwide Evangelism Christian Artist Network (WeCAN). They admonish every Christian visual artist worldwide to donate art to various organization, charities and entities ( such as orphanages, hospitals and care homes). By adding Bible Scripture to each peice of art donated, it becomes a tool for evangelism to encourage, enlighten and inspire those receiving it.
Basically, you can add Bible Scripture to your canvas, the frames around the images, the base of sculpture or include it mixed media peices. Visit the website to see how God has already used the talents of visual artists to make impact in the lives of children using scripture in artwork. This is a great way begin or develop an art ministry. Its a wonderful idea for you to do on your own or with a group of your fellow artists.

Hey Cool Site-
I have always had scripture on my website that displays my artwork, but just recently I have begun to add scripture to some photographs I have taken. I believe adding scripture to my artwork opens up a whole new purpose and reason for what I do. By the way, I like this site.
“Christian” artwork does frequently include scriptural references. I would suggest however….. First the word then the work. For the many of us who have been inspired by a particular passage, a miracle, a parable, we recognize the power of the Holy Spirit who guides and directs our efforts…….. to communicate often in ways beyond our own capabilities. While some may pray for that” happy accident” that would enrich the “experience” for both the artist and the viewer, we would pray that it not be an accident but the very hand of the Master be placed upon what we do: That he is most pleased as the giver of All gifts. Pleased enough that He takes a an active part in the entire process from the very beginning. milt wear, witness group
The time has come for overt Christian Art.
That is visual art that ministers with an obvious Biblical message. I have started a Christian visual artist group in Charleston SC to encourage that very thing. I am praying about a way to help us display our art in public – not just online. Often we are shunned or not accepted by the board or the jury. God can do all things.
